How We Write and Check Our Guides

This page explains who writes the guides on this site, how they are made and how we keep them accurate. We think readers should know.

Who

Guides are published by the site’s editorial team, shown as “Editorial Team”. We do not invent author names, credentials or reviews.

How

We use AI tools to help draft and structure our guides. We then check facts, such as character limits and username rules, against platform help pages and other public references. Posts that state these facts show the date they were last checked. We test our tools in a web browser, and we describe what they do and do not do.

We do not make up quotes, studies, statistics or reviews. Where a chart shows our own opinion, it says so on the chart.

Why

We write for people who want to style text for bios, names and captions, and who need to know what works, what fails and what to keep plain. Our aim is to be useful, not to chase search traffic.

Images

Photos come from Unsplash photographers and are credited under each image. They are real photographs, not AI-generated images.

Corrections

Platforms change their rules often. If you find something that is out of date or wrong, please tell us through the Contact page and we will fix it and update the checked date.
